More than 130 lawyers joined the seminar 'The Real Deal in M&A: All about transactions involving real estate property' in Utrecht, from 4-6 April, organised by aija, the only global network of young lawyers.
The leading Austrian arbitration conference has taken place on 1–2 March, 2019 in Vienna.
This year the conference focused on "10 Years of CAD: New Ideas, New Concerns."
The Dispute Resolution Team worked with Allen & Overy as Austrian counsel advising lenders in connection with a EUR 420 million financing of Vinci Airport's concession agreement for Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport, which closed on December 21, 2018. The team of the firm was led by senior partner Nikolaus Pitkowitz, head of the Dispute Resolution team.

AIJA, the International Association of Young Lawyers, organized the 56th International Young Lawyers’ Congress in Brussels this year, from 28 August to 1 September 2018. Martin Foerster, President of the Real Estate Commission of AIJA, was one of the key contacts for Workshop B “The Journey of Your Favourite T-shirt via the new Silk Road to Your Local Retailer: Challenges from a transport, distribution and lease law perspective.” and gave a talk on the topic “Logistics agreements: an alternative to distribution agreements?”.
On 15. Mai 2018, CBRE and the firm organised the RETAIL 2030 BREAKFAST above the roofs of Vienna. In the Rooftop bar of the 25 Hours Hotel, Walter Wölfler (CBRE) and Dr. Martin Foerster talked about the development of the retail business and the relevant current legal topics.
