The renowned law firm Pitkowitz & Partners has appointed attorney-at-law Peter Machherndl (33) as partner with effect from 1 January 2024, further strengthening the management team of the dispute resolution practice group.

With Peter Machherndl as the third partner alongside Nikolaus Pitkowitz and Roxanne de Jesus, the firm continues the long-term growth of the practice group. This strategy continues with the appointment of Peter Machherndl, who joined the dispute resolution team in 2022.

Peter focuses on national and international dispute resolution before state courts and in arbitration proceedings. In particular, he holds significant expertise in advocating for or defending claims in investor cases, representing stakeholders in corporate disputes and companies within the banking and financial sector, the automotive industry, and the IT and retail sectors.
In addition, he has a particular focus on advising on the rollout of new technologies (spanning a broad range, from application of artificial intelligence, to new payment services and automation solutions, e.g. in the automotive sector). Peter also regularly represents clients in insolvency-related disputes.
Prior to joining Pitkowitz & Partners, Peter Machherndl worked for a leading international law firm for over eight years. He has extensive experience in the successful and efficient handling of mass and class actions and (national and international) collective redress.
